BLOOD, SWEAT, PRIDE AND PASSION DONT ALWAYS GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT.
Hi sports players and sports fans this is the phenom big daddy b Simon burling trying to do my first ever match report so please be understanding if this report aint exactly pukka but ill give it my best shot and any feed back would be much appreciated thank you.
As the morning hit the stroke of 10 o clock the A team players were arriving at Coldhams common to go to battle in a semi final cup match against Wellcome, the sun was shinning with a little breeze in the air.
As the A team were getting kitted up and ready for battle the gaffa Richard (Braveheart) Henderson named the starting eleven.
Rocket
Jones Sparks Burling Denz
Chege (Capt) Gannon Collins Lucas
King Judah
Subs: Barker, Duffy, Henderson
So the team headed out the changing room to the pitch knowing there positions and knowing that there was a 50/50 chance of reaching a cup final at Soham in April.
As the team were warming up Sparkes felt an uncomfortable feeling in his leg or side of his chest which I think led to Braveheart changing the starting line up which was a shame as Sparkes was in great form in the previous game the week before, so Sparkes went to the bench, Collins was put back at centre back, Lucas went to centre mid and Duffy started at left mid, not only did we have an injured Sparkes on the bench but while Barker was warming up he felt a pain in his knee which was injured a few weeks before which led to Barker only coming on if someone got really badly injured, lady luck didn’t look like she was going to be on the A teams side today but then again she could have a change of heart.
Chege won the toss and decided to change ends and go with the sun, the game kicked off and Wellcome pilled on the pressure right from the start and from out of no where one of Wellcome’s strikers picked the ball up from near the half and headed down the right hand side of the pitch like he had a rocket up his ass, he shot passed Denz and then shot past Collins in a blink of an eye and as he went beyond the 6 yard box he smashed it in the roof of the net Rocket didn’t stand a chance and you have to hand it to the Wellcome player it was a shit hot goal 1-0.
As the game went on Wellcome didn’t give up on the pressure and before you knew it 2-0. To be honest I don’t really remember much about the next goal all I know is sports started to create chances and put passes together and get themselves back into the game things were starting to look positive, but then the worst thing that could of happened when your 2-0 down in a semi final cup match happened they scored a third 3-0.
So what do you use or have when 3-0 down in the first half in a semi final cup match the answer in my book would have to be pride and passion?
The game got under way again but looking around the pitch and listening to the chat there was still passion and pride in the sports team and it would take a lot for that to be taken away from us, the fight was there the hunger was there we just had to use it and we did.
Still in the first half everybody started to fight to win the ball there was no giving up, Rocket was pulling off save after save, Burling was challenging and sliding giving it his all in every tackle, Gannon was motoring in the middle of the pitch after his morning supply of speed and red bull, Chege was oozing class with dangerous balls into the box, and that’s just to name four players the rest of the team were all giving 110 percent and credit to everybody for not giving up.
As the half was coming to a close I think Chege won a penalty as he was pushed in the back, Chege put the ball down on the spot ready as he did that I couldn’t bare to look so I turned away from what I know it some how managed to just slip under the keeper 3-1.
Then as if lady luck had taken our side we were awarded another penalty and as before Chege stepped up I turned to look in the opposite direction and Chege slotted it away 3-2. Things were looking up everything was starting to come together and against the run of play Wellcome slotted home another 4-2.
And just before half time whistle, I aint to sure but I think King Kong Jimmy King put away sports third goal and at the end of the first half the score was 4-3 to Wellcome and at half time the sports team knew we could do it we fought back form 3-0 down and if we can do that we can do anything you just have to give it everything you got.
Second half kicked off and it was a very even first 20mins nothing was getting through the sports defence no matter how hard Wellcome tried they weren’t getting through and the frustration was starting to show which was good for sports who were playing some sexy football and looking really confident and comfortable on the ball but the Wellcome defence were just as tough to get through as the sports defense and then the dream was brought back to life as a looping ball was played into the Wellcome box the keeper come running out to catch it above his head but King Kong Jimmy King had other ideas and managed to get his head to the ball first and into the back of the net 4-4.
With 20mins or so left on the clock extra time was getting close, the tension was building by the second, the dream was edging nearer and it was now time for all hands to the pump, and trust me everybody did.
The game carried on with Wellcome throwing everything at sports at one point the striker for Wellcome who ran like he had a rocket up his ass beat the offside and come bursting through the defense and The phenol Big Daddy B gave chase as the striker got one on one with Rocket Big Daddy B wasn’t taking any chances and as the striker went to pull the trigger Big Daddy B flung himself between rocket and the striker, the challenge left the big man in pain, Rocket and Denz telling him to stay down as his ankle was at a funny angle but it wasn’t the ankle giving him pain it was the finger he dislocated in the first half and his right shine his ankle felt fine thank god.
As the half continued Braveheart decided to make a change Lucas came off to make way for Sparkes and with his first touch he cleared the ball off the line with a diving back not a diving header which I think he meant to do. Collins was the next sub to be made after being elbowed in the nose and with it pouring with blood the ref thought he never got touched obviously Collins was pouring with blood for no reason that proves one thing the ref never went to spec savers to get his glasses anyway Braveheart replaced Collins at centre back.
Wellcome were hitting us with everything they had and finally manage to break through the sports defense not only once but twice and managed to put them both away with the final score finishing at 6-4 to Wellcome but sports shouldn’t go away from this game disappointed they should be pleased, they put in all there blood, sweat, pride and passion into a game that so easily could of gone either way.
Man of the Match; contenders were Rocket, Chege and Gannon but the man of the match goes to the phenom Big Daddy B Simon Burling for a solid defensive display
And one more thing I have been informed that sports A might be playing Wellcome at home this coming Sunday.(they say paybacks are a bitch)
Sorry if I missed any other moments I tried to remember what I could and do my best do give a decent match report hope you all enjoy it thank you.

Great report Burls, the headline sums up the game completley! Everybody worked their arses off and couldnt have done any more so you should all be proud of that. The sest of us are gona have a battle to get back in after the way the teams played the last 2 games, well done boys
Im sure thats the same team that plays in the league, even though none of them seemed to know each other and “striker” is probably a very popular name in some countries. NAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

Well done Si, good report mate.
Unlucky lads, they’ve made a couple of “signings” that made the difference. Hope they get thumped in the final!
Can’t stand getting shafted by ringers…
